about

A semi-comprehensive view of the state of the health of our planet and the likelihood of having a future on it. This song is my expression of the sadness and frustration of the state of humanity when money and power means more than survival. Thank you to Greenpeace for diligently documenting the state of our world. Much of the footage we were looking for seems to have been carefully erased from the collective online memory, as if someone doesn’t want it to be seen.

We are at a point in time when even a small individual step in
the right direction can unite us together into an insurmountable
movement for the preservation of our planet, our personal stories, our art and music, and our love. A perseverance that nothing can stop, and success will be our continuation into the next page of our history.

lyrics

The Earth is ravaged and plundered
The rich devour and waste
The poor, thrown crumbs for lifelines
Just temptations, nothings changed

The cycles still all continue
Sex frosted lies in media haze
The top 1%'s corporate welfare
While the rest must pay the freight

I'm so amazed I can't stand it
Fukushima kills the ocean's worth
New pandemics swarm all around us
We'll be the last generation on Earth

They say "To hell with regulations."
We can make a dead sea pay
Rape ourselves into extinction
Enjoy these last golden days

Food's genetic, spliced and worthless
But it'll last a thousand years
Water's gotten so lead polluted
There's no pure drops even in tears

I'm so blown away by our stewards
Corporate news says it can't get worse
Losing bees and thousands more species
We'll be the last generation on Earth

Who needs conservation
Get that last rain forest raised
Melting glacier's an illusion
Party on, life's just a phase

As chemtrails cross the skyways
Sure that ozone hole's a laugh
Fill more SUV smogged highways
We can take that UV blast

I'm so dismayed I can't stand it
The soulless line their pockets first
Keep using those hacked voting relics
We'll be the last generation on Earth

We share the same land and air
Drink water with the same thirst
Do the rich have space ships prepared
Lest we all heal our planet first
We're the last generation on Earth.

We're the last generation on Earth.

I am not a professional singer. But, I love to write. These songs and lyrics are my attempt and hope to approach the work of the great love ballads of the 1930's, 40's, 50's and after. The songs that inspired me to write these new, original songs of love and humor. ... more
